Vash the Stampede is the main character of Yasuhiro Nightow's sci-fi western Trigun. Vash, or "The Humanoid Typhoon" as he is often referred to, has a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head, and is often pursued by bandits wanting to claim the bounty as a result. He usually comes across as goofy and foolish so as not to intimidate people, but is actually a lot sharper than he acts. He refuses to kill another living thing, which often results in trouble from particularly persistent foes.
